    • Week 2: At least 10 games.

    • Week 3: At least 15 games.

    • Week 4: At least 20 games.

    • Week 4-5: Playoffs/Finals.

  • Two (2) consecutive missed deadlines will result in an automatic removal from the league.

    • If you cannot make a deadline for a trip, emergency, etc. you must let an admin know ahead of time!

  • Trade Deadline will occur at the third deadline.

LEAGUE RULES:

  • Be mature please! This is a league full of adults. Act like one or be kicked, no questions asked.

  • No quitting games! Can result in an auto-kick.

  • Don’t run up the score in closing minutes if the game is already decided, have courtesy. Last second shot attempts can mandate an auto-kick, just hold the ball.

  • Streaming/archiving games is recommended. This is the easiest way to find out if there are players abusing the system

  • Do NOT excessively flash pause.

  • Games affected by lag-outs will be determined by players affected + admin help. If game was out of reach already, team winning will be rewarded. If situation could be argued to still be a winnable game, game can be reset. These situations are up to both players + an admin.

  • THREE STRIKE rule for breaking the rules.

    • 1st Strike: Verbal Warning.

    • 2nd Strike: Given a loss vs. the team you committed rule break against.

    • 3rd Strike: League removal.

  • Disputes Between Members:

    • All disputes MUST be handled via PM. If you believe your opponent is breaking the rules, PM them and tell them what they are doing wrong (specifically if it is a new owner). Afterwards, PM an admin as well to inform them of the issue and if it was resolved. The complaints should happen by the end of the first half, no matter the score. By doing so this will prevent the losing argument from happening.
DO NOT WAIT UNTIL LATE IN THE GAME/WHEN YOU ARE LOSING.

IN-GAME RULES:

  • You must be running plays at least 70% of the game.

    • Do NOT abuse one play, or the same type of play

    • Make a playbook of at least 20-30 plays (more is recommended!), sets are good as well (but do not count as a play)

    • The other 30% refers to out of bounds situations in the front-court, late shot clock situations, play breakdowns, etc. Sets/Quick picks should still be used rather than simple iso-ball.

  • ON-BALL DEFENSE ONLY!

    • You are ONLY allowed to switch on Pick & Rolls, playing help defense, or switching to cover an offball screen AFTER the point of contact of the screen.

  • Players are strictly limited to 21 FGA per game (prior to sim stats - take a pic prior to leaving the game!). Anything over is an automatic reset

    • If OT occurs, the FGA limit is increased to 24.

  • Fast breaks are ONLY allowed if a steal, block, long rebound, or air-ball occurs.

    • After a steal or block you may run the floor.

    • A long rebound means the rebounder must be CLEARLY outside of the paint. This means BOTH FEET, no discrepancy.

    • You CANNOT throw the ball up the court on a normal rebound; you MUST walk it up. If you do throw up the ball past half court, you need to wait for the defense to set up. This also applies to inbounds.

    • If an air-ball is shot, regular fastbreak rules apply

  • Don’t abuse turbo/baseline turbo cheese.

    • This contains no abusing of dunk animations. Don’t consistently call isolations for one player and attempt to get by your opponent just to get an auto dunk.

  • Do not abuse stepbacks and snatchback dribbles. This seems to be another huge issue with this game that is unguardable at times. It's fine to use, but do not abuse it.

  • Zig-Zagging is even worse of an issue in this 2k, so DO NOT RUN BACK AND FORTH until you get an open shot

  • No abusing of dribble moves. Keep it realistic, no need to triple behind the back, crossover, and hesitate before reaching halfcourt.

  • No cherry picking!

  • If your opponent is pressing before half court or right at halfcourt, you are allowed to turbo by them and attempt to score.

    • If your opponent is reaching on inbounds passes in the backcourt, this applies as well.

    • Apply common sense here! If it is accidental or only once, just walk it up!

Points in Paint (PIP) Rule:

  • You can have NO MORE than 75% PIP at the end of the game. (For example: if you score 50 points, you must have less than 38 PIP).

  • Don’t abuse this rule. Having 90% PIP going into the 4th, then shooting 3s the whole 4th to lower the PIP is still breaking this rule.

MINUTES RULE:

  • A player can play NO MORE than 26 out of 32 minutes. If there’s OT, this increases to 29/35 minutes (once again take a pic prior to leaving the game!) -> Automatic reset!

POSITION RULE:

  • A player must play their primary position. If a player is assigned to two (2) positions, that player can only play those positions. If a player is only assigned one position, they can play one position up or down from their position.

  • For example, Giannis is assigned SF/SG which means he can only play those positions. If you have a guard that is only assigned to a 2 guard he can be moved to PG or SF.

2 MINUTE RULE:

  • If losing by more than 5 points with LESS THAN 2 MINUTES left in the game, you may TURBO up the court and look for quick shots, but you may NOT toss the ball up court.
